While several iterations using standard photography had been created by another designer the Alumni Director was looking for something special.
When learning about the audience and purpose of the card and event, I thought, "There's Gators in them, thar' hills!" As a photo illustrator and compositer, the idea for this unique concept popped into my head and I immediately went to work. The "Gator Road" in this photo of a North Carolina hillside is meant to represent coming to the North Carolina Gator Gathering,
but also that North Carolina is part of the Gator Nation and has a community of alumni living there.
